Today was pretty much a travel day. We left Newark about 9:30 a.m., changed planes in Detroit, and arrived in Denver about 1 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time. The flights were reasonably comfortable, passing the time with reading.
We picked up our car at the Hertz concession and headed for Colorado Springs, there to see the Garden of the Gods. The Garden is a fantastic natural formation of jagged rocks soaring hundreds of feet above the ground. A beautiful park was created to make the natural wonders an heritage for all.
We continued on to Pueblo, CO which is where we are lodging for the night. More to come...
